On December 29, at the Chaophraya Room in Bangkok City Hall, Supakrit Boonkhun, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), led the daily operations briefing for the city’s New Year 2025 Incident Command Center. The meeting assessed the current situation, which was reported as orderly and under control, and discussed measures to ensure public safety.
Supakrit emphasized the importance of enhancing security measures by installing additional CCTV cameras in high-risk or crowded areas. He also urged coordination with relevant agencies to deploy staff at key locations to work alongside police in safeguarding the public. Special attention was given to ensuring the safety of Bangkok’s transportation systems, including roads, railways, and waterways, to facilitate smooth and secure travel for residents and visitors during the New Year celebrations.
