Following the incident involving the recovery of the body of Mr. Sarawut Chantasorn, also known as "Dao," a 33-year-old worker from Sisaket Province who fell into a bored pile shaft at the Lan Luang Station construction site — part of the Orange Line train project between Bang Khun Non and the Thailand Cultural Center, near Soi Lan Luang 8.
According to reports on May 24, rescue personnel were preparing to rappel down to retrieve the body of the worker, who was buried under collapsed soil inside the 19-meter-deep shaft.
Despite continuous rescue efforts overnight following heavy rainfall, the body has not yet been recovered. The muddy conditions at the bottom of the shaft pose safety risks to the rescue team. Officials expect to recover the body later in the morning today.
