On June 25, local reporters in Lampang reported that the Lampang Public Relations Office (PRD) announced via social media the upcoming suspension of the Bangkok–Lampang (Suvarnabhumi) flight route.
Bangkok Airways has confirmed it will cease its Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Lampang (BKK–LPT) flights starting October 26, 2025. In addition, routes from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Mae Hong Son via Lampang will be temporarily suspended from July 1, 2025.
This route has long served as a vital travel option for Lampang residents and visitors, continuing to operate through various crises. The airline’s decision to halt service is attributed to fleet maintenance and commercial considerations.
The statement noted that if there are any updates or plans to resume flights, further announcements will be made. The PR office also expressed gratitude to Bangkok Airways for years of service, providing convenience and fond memories to travelers and the Lampang community.
