The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) announced extended service hours for the MRT Blue Line and Purple Line during the New Year celebrations. Services will run from 6:00 AM on December 31, 2024, until 2:00 AM on January 1, 2025, to accommodate travelers and promote public transportation during the holiday season.

Additionally, parking fees will be waived, and Park-and-Ride facilities will have extended hours from 5:00 AM on December 31, 2024, to 1:00 AM on January 2, 2025.

Details of Park-and-Ride Facilities:

  • MRT Blue Line:
    • Four buildings: Lat Phrao, Thailand Cultural Centre, and Lak Song (2 buildings).
    • Eleven lots: Kamphaeng Phet, Ratchadaphisek, Huai Khwang, Thailand Cultural Centre (2 lots), Rama 9, Phetchaburi, Sukhumvit, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (2 lots), and Sam Yan.
  • MRT Purple Line:
    • Four buildings: Khlong Bang Phai, Sam Yaek Bang Yai, Bang Rak Noi Tha It, and Yaek Nonthaburi 1.
