The first day of candidate registration for the Prachinburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) elections on December 23 saw lively activity at the PAO auditorium in Muang District, Prachinburi Province. Candidates for the PAO Chief position registered in the following order:
- Mr. Ampai Kongmanee, former MP (independent).
- Mr. Chamroon Suaydee, former MP for the Phalangtham Party (running under the People’s Party).
- Mrs. Kritkamon Phangsri, former 2023 Pheu Thai Party candidate (independent).
- Ms. Napapatch "Joy" Anchasanitmon, wife of "Tong" Anchasanitmon, representing the Pheu Thai Party.
At 9:30 AM, the candidates drew their ballot numbers as follows:
- Number 1: Ampai Kongmanee
- Number 2: Chamroon Suaydee
- Number 3: Kritkamon Phangsri
- Number 4: Napapatch Anchasanitmon
The event was observed by Mr. Weerapun Dee-on, Prachinburi Governor, and Mr. Chanathip Khokmanee, Deputy Governor.
Supporters of the candidates brought garlands and flowers to cheer on their favorites. Notable appearances included Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, Deputy Leader of the People’s Party, who presented flowers to Mr. Chamroon Suaydee before leading a procession to local landmarks for blessings. Meanwhile, Ms. Napapatch "Joy" Anchasanitmon arrived with her son and supporters, who prominently displayed images of her husband, "Toh," to boost morale.
In contrast, the faction of Mr. Sunthorn "Kotorn" Wilawan remained quiet, with no visible activity on the first day.
