On December 19, Pol. Maj. Gen. Suwat Saengnum, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), outlined the investigative steps following the transfer of the case involving the fatal shooting of Chaimet Sithisanitpong (known as "Tong") to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD). This transfer, authorized by National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kitirat Phanpetch, aims to centralize and streamline the investigation under one authority. The CSD is currently awaiting case documents and evidence from the Prachinburi City Police Station. Once received, a dedicated investigation committee will be established to review all aspects of the case and identify additional areas requiring further inquiry.

Initial investigative efforts have focused on the circumstances surrounding the crime, identifying those involved, and investigating the potential role of influential local figures. Witness testimonies remain a critical element, with plans to summon additional witnesses and revisit earlier statements where inconsistencies were noted. This is part of a broader effort to ensure a thorough and fair investigation.

Nitisak Meekuat, the lawyer representing Naphaphat Anchasanichamon (widow of the deceased), stated that she has yet to provide detailed testimony to the CSD. Further coordination with authorities is pending, with no date set for additional questioning. Pol. Gen. Kitirat has emphasized the importance of a meticulous and unbiased investigation, urging officers to consider all dimensions of the case to deliver justice to all parties involved.
