Xing Xing was found with Major Maung Win, under the command of Colonel Maung Chit Thu. Major Maung Win stated that Thai and Myanmar immigration officials had coordinated for Xing Xing’s return to Thailand via Friendship Bridge 1 by 2:00 p.m.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Xing Xing claimed he crossed into Myanmar to visit relatives in Shwe Kokko.
