On January 1, 2025, the return of holiday travelers began to pick up on Friendship Highway, particularly from Lat Bua Khao Subdistrict, Sikhio District, to the military training center in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima. Traffic conditions remained smooth, with vehicles able to maintain speed and no significant congestion reported.

At Nakhon Ratchasima’s second bus terminal, the atmosphere was bustling from early morning. Travelers carrying luggage lined up to purchase tickets for buses heading to Bangkok, as well as to eastern provinces such as Chonburi, Chanthaburi, and Rayong.

Jaroon Jongkraijak, Director of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Transport Office, stated that additional air-conditioned bus trips on the Nakhon Ratchasima-Bangkok route had been arranged, increasing from 100 to 150 trips daily to accommodate the surge in demand. Officials are also conducting thorough inspections of buses and drivers to ensure passenger safety and prevent accidents.
