On December 28, significant congestion was reported at the Khao Yai National Park entrance in Prachinburi Province, with traffic stretching nearly 10 kilometers as thousands of vehicles and over 10,000 visitors made their way to the park or used the route to Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. Authorities deployed officers to manage traffic and assist with entry fee collection.
In Nakhon Ratchasima, the Second Bus Terminal saw long queues of travelers, many arriving from Bangkok or heading to their hometowns in provinces such as Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Surin, and Buriram. At Jira Road Junction Railway Station, the Nakhon Ratchasima-Ubon Ratchathani local train was packed beyond capacity, leaving passengers competing for seats and standing space. These scenarios underscore the heavy travel activity as people return home or visit holiday destinations for the New Year period.
