On November 27, the Meteorological Department issued its fifth warning of heavy rainfall affecting eight provinces in southern Thailand. The warning advises residents to prepare for potential flooding, flash floods, and landslides, with waves in the Gulf of Thailand expected to reach up to 3 meters, causing small boats to be prohibited from venturing out from November 27 to 30.

The Department of Natural Resources reported that eight districts in Songkhla are at risk of flooding, with the heaviest rainfall recorded in the districts of Thepa (327 mm) and Hat Yai (276 mm).

In Yala, the district of Raman is experiencing severe flooding, with water inundating railway tracks and homes, making travel difficult. Some vehicles are submerged up to halfway. The rainfall in Raman reached 170.8 mm. The water levels in the Sai Buri River were also monitored at different times:

  • 01:00 AM: 15.88 meters
  • 06:00 AM: 16.72 meters
  • 08:00 AM: 17.10 meters

The flood warning is triggered when the water level reaches 15 meters, and the crisis level is at 17 meters.
