On June 9, 2025, reporters revealed that 21 Members of Parliament from the United Thai Nation Party, led by Mr. Suchart Chomklin (party-list MP), submitted a letter to the Prime Minister proposing a Cabinet reshuffle involving ministers from their party.

The letter stated that the current ministers under the party's quota lacked the necessary knowledge and competency in governance, as well as the ability to effectively implement policies and produce results. This, they argued, has hindered their capacity to meet public expectations.

Concerns were also raised regarding ethical issues involving some ministers, specifically those currently under investigation by the Election Commission (EC) and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). These cases, widely reported in the media, could damage the government’s overall image and public trust.

The petition highlighted potential violations of Constitutional Articles 186 and 184, which prohibit undue interference in the operations of state agencies, state enterprises, and independent organizations under government oversight. It also cited Article 219, which addresses serious ethical misconduct by political officeholders, potentially affecting their eligibility to serve.

Given the circumstances, the MPs urged that ministerial qualifications—particularly “manifest integrity,” a core moral standard—be scrutinized more carefully. They criticized the party’s internal mechanisms for failing to effectively recruit qualified individuals capable of supporting the government, led by Pheu Thai.

With the nation facing multiple crises, the MPs concluded that a comprehensive Cabinet reshuffle of United Thai Nation's ministerial positions was necessary to restore unity, adapt to current challenges, and respond genuinely to public needs.
