On June 21, 2025, it was reported that Prime Minister Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra signed the Office of the Prime Minister's Order No. 184/2025, dated June 20, 2025. The order concerns amendments to previously issued orders that delegated authority to Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers attached to the Office of the Prime Minister to act on behalf of the Prime Minister.
This amendment builds upon prior orders, including Order No. 313/2024 dated September 19, 2024, Order No. 77/2024 dated January 6, 2025, and Order No. 103/2025 dated March 24, 2025. The intent is to ensure smooth administration following recent changes.
The amendments include:
- Revoking Section 4 of Order No. 313/2024 dated September 16, 2024.
- Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister, is now assigned to oversee:
- Ministry of Defence
- Ministry of Interior
- Ministry of Justice
- Office of the Council of State
- National Office of Buddhism
- Royal Society of Thailand (including its operations)
- Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister, will oversee:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Tourism and Sports
- Ministry of Transport
- Ministry of Labour
- Ministry of Culture
- Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office
- Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, Deputy Prime Minister, is tasked with:
- Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation
- Ministry of Digital Economy and Society
- Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
- Ministry of Education
- Ministry of Public Health
- Public Relations Department
- Office of the Consumer Protection Board
- Office for National Reform, Strategy, and Reconciliation
Additionally, he will oversee the following public organizations and state agencies:
- National Cyber Security Agency
- Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization)
- National Health Commission Office
- Knowledge Management and Development Organization (Public Organization)
- Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion
- Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization)
- Social Enterprise Promotion Office
- Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization)
This redistribution of duties follows the withdrawal of the Bhumjaithai Party from the government coalition and the resignation of its ministers, necessitating a realignment of responsibilities among the Deputy Prime Ministers.
