On May 16, Danuporn Punnakanta, a Pheu Thai Party-list MP and party spokesperson, spoke about the draft bill on integrated entertainment complexes. He confirmed that the Entertainment Complex Business Act remains pending on the House agenda and will inevitably be deliberated. The party expects the bill to be considered on July 9, once Parliament reconvenes.
Danuporn stated that internal discussions within the party have already begun, focusing on preparing key data and identifying speakers to explain the rationale and necessity of the proposed legislation.
He added that the party will hold further meetings to exchange opinions and assess public concerns after MPs spent the parliamentary recess engaging with constituents to explain the bill. Additionally, preparations are underway for the review of the fiscal year 2026 budget bill, which will be discussed during a special parliamentary session from May 28 to 30.
Danuporn noted that while scheduling for internal discussions is still being finalized, the party will adhere to its usual approach: MPs will be grouped based on their interests in specific ministries or agencies to effectively divide the workload. Detailed planning, however, is yet to take place.
