On June 14, Anusorn Iamsa-ard, a list MP from the Pheu Thai Party, commented on Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s decision to postpone the mobile Cabinet meeting in Phitsanulok, originally scheduled for June 23–24, due to an overseas commitment. He noted that the delay might also be linked to the pending Cabinet reshuffle, emphasizing that only the Prime Minister has the authority to make such decisions.

Anusorn expressed confidence in Paetongtarn, stating that any reshuffle would improve the government’s performance. “New ministers bring fresh perspectives and leadership. Even if the reshuffle hasn’t happened, the current Cabinet can still function effectively,” he said. He added that given global and domestic challenges, ministers must be fully prepared and make the most of their roles for the benefit of the nation and its people.

He stressed that any incoming ministers must hit the ground running, as the country’s pressing issues leave no room for a “honeymoon period.” Regarding internal conflicts within coalition parties, Anusorn said each party must manage its own internal affairs and ensure these do not affect the government’s stability.

As for discontent among coalition members over potential ministerial changes, he urged trust in the Prime Minister’s leadership. “If any coalition party is unhappy and unwilling to embrace change aimed at improving governance, it is free to step out and become part of the opposition. That’s the democratic way. One can serve the nation and its people from any position,” he noted.

Anusorn concluded by expressing confidence that the Prime Minister and the Cabinet—whether current or newly reshuffled—are capable of addressing the nation’s internal and external challenges effectively.
