On December 5, 2024, Mr. Anusorn Eiamsa-ard, a party-list MP from the Pheu Thai Party, confirmed that the government led by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is prepared to face an upcoming no-confidence debate proposed by the opposition. He emphasized that this process is a standard part of parliamentary oversight and not a cause for concern. Rather, it is an opportunity for the government to present its achievements, including the flagship 10,000-baht economic stimulus policy and swift flood recovery efforts, which have received widespread public approval.

Mr. Pattanapong Sappaso, another Pheu Thai MP, noted that the government has been in office for only three months, making it premature for substantial allegations. He urged the opposition to focus on presenting credible evidence of corruption if any exists, rather than engaging in political gamesmanship. He highlighted the transparency observed in budget allocations and decision-making processes under this administration.

Both MPs called on the opposition to prioritize factual, constructive criticism over personal attacks or misinformation, to ensure that parliamentary time is used effectively for the benefit of the public.
