In response to recent resignations and internal disagreements, the Thai Sang Thai Party acknowledged ideological differences that emerged after the election. Some members wished to join the government, while others wanted to uphold the party's principles and serve as an opposition. After several discussions, the majority agreed that Thai Sang Thai must remain true to its founding goal of fostering honest politics. The party will continue to act as a constructive opposition, prioritizing the people's interests.
Following this decision, some MPs defied the party resolution and aligned themselves with the government. The party's Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, chaired by Dr. Phokin Polkul, is pursuing legal action against those who betrayed their voters and the party. These individuals were supported heavily by the party and are now urged to prioritize public over personal interests.
Thai Sang Thai apologizes to the public for this oversight, noting the limited time available to instill shared values after breaking away from the previous party and heading straight into elections.
As for Capt. Anudith Nakornthap and Mr. Karun Hosakul, who opted to join the Kla Dharma Party, the Thai Sang Thai Party respects their decision and had already been informed months ago. Although they had not yet formally resigned, there is no conflict or disruption to the party's function.
The party stresses that these incidents do not weaken its resolve. Instead, they will fuel efforts to strengthen Thai Sang Thai. The current national crisis, rooted in widespread disillusionment and corruption, overshadows any internal party conflict. The country suffers under a decaying political system manipulated by "dirty politicians" and "gray networks," leading to worsening economic conditions and social issues such as drugs and illegal gambling.
Thai Sang Thai condemns vote-buying, corruption, and political manipulation, affirming that it will never surrender to the corrupted system. The party belongs to the people who refuse to accept the nation's decline and invites capable, brave individuals to join in transforming Thailand.
Its core goals are:
- Build honest politics
- Create a strong economy
- Make Thailand stand out
- Boldly reform oppressive structures
- Strengthen national institutions
