On November 27, 2024, Pattani Governor Patimoh Sadeeyamu and officials visited flood-hit areas in Langah Subdistrict, Mayo District, where flash floods from the mountains submerged approximately 1,400 households across seven subdistricts. Floodwaters reached nearly one meter, cutting off village access roads and making travel by smaller vehicles difficult. Main roads were heavily flooded, causing traffic disruptions.

In Thung Yang Daeng District, seven villages in Pithen Subdistrict were also severely affected by flash floods, leaving residents in distress. Provincial authorities are working to assess damages and provide immediate assistance.

The governor announced that if rain subsides within two to three days, the situation might improve. However, six additional districts—Muang, Yarang, Nong Chik, Sai Buri, Yaring, and Mae Lan—have been declared disaster zones. Coastal residents were warned about strong waves and advised against fishing.

The provincial disaster prevention and mitigation command center is monitoring the situation around the clock. A total of nine districts have been declared disaster zones, with emergency teams deployed to assist affected communities, particularly focusing on evacuating the bedridden, children, and the elderly.
