On May 20, 2025, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, responded to allegations made by Ms. Kusumalawadee Sirikomut, who accused the party's leadership—specifically the party leader, secretary-general, and others—of involvement in the alleged Senate vote manipulation.
Ms. Nan stated that the party would take legal action through proper judicial channels, with its legal team preparing to file defamation lawsuits.
“Today, the Bhumjaithai Party must defend itself against politically motivated slander and misinformation from malicious actors who appear intent on damaging the party,” she said.
She emphasized that Bhumjaithai is a legitimate democratic institution operating under a constitutional monarchy. Party leader Anutin Charnvirakul, she noted, has consistently focused on serving the people and contributing to national development.
“The Bhumjaithai Party will fully exercise its legal rights to pursue action against Ms. Kusumalawadee Sirikomut and any individuals involved in defaming the party,” the spokesperson declared.
