At 8:45 PM on June 28, 2025, the Bhumjaithai Party issued a statement regarding the controversial phone conversation between Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate. The party expressed concern that the discussion impacted Thailand’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, national interests, and the military—an issue already known to the public.

The party announced that its executive committee had convened to deliberate the matter and unanimously decided to withdraw from the government coalition. All Bhumjaithai ministers submitted their resignations to the Prime Minister, effective June 19, 2025.

The party called on Prime Minister Paetongtarn to take responsibility for damaging the nation's honor, dignity, and the reputation of the people and the armed forces.

Bhumjaithai affirmed its commitment to work alongside the Thai people, in full support of the military and operational personnel, to defend the sovereignty, territory, and interests of Thailand by every possible means.
