On December 18, Pattaya's Sawang Boriboon Radio Center received a report of human skeletal remains washed ashore at Pattaya Beach, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Upon arrival, rescue workers and authorities discovered a crowd of tourists observing the remains.
A detailed examination revealed that the bones were not human as initially suspected but likely those of a monkey, as a skull and tail were found. The remains were recovered and handed over to local police for further examination.
According to Mr. Sahawat Jamsai, a volunteer from Sawang Boriboon Pattaya, the report came from a concerned citizen who mistook the bones for human remains. Authorities have confirmed they belong to an animal and are proceeding with routine investigations.
