The Pattaya Fireworks Festival 2024 officially began on November 29, with spectacular shows held over the waters of Pattaya Bay in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Scheduled for November 29-30, the event features firework displays from five participating countries: Germany, Hong Kong, England, Serbia, and the Philippines. Each night, over 15,000 fireworks light up the sky, accompanied by an impressive array of lights, colors, and sounds. To enhance the viewing experience, Pattaya City has set up 15 screens along a 3-kilometer stretch of Pattaya Beach, ensuring visitors can enjoy the spectacle from various vantage points.

This year’s festival has drawn enormous crowds, with both domestic and international tourists arriving early to secure prime viewing spots. By noon, visitors began gathering at the beach, and by 3:00 PM, when roads leading to Pattaya were closed, the beach was packed with people, with estimates of attendance reaching hundreds of thousands. The influx of visitors also caused severe traffic congestion on major routes into the city.

More than 2,000 officials have been deployed to manage traffic, ensure safety, and facilitate the smooth running of the event. The firework displays, which started at 7:45 PM, will continue on November 30 for the festival's final night.
