On December 8, authorities confirmed the death of a Singaporean tourist who passed away after a massage in Patong, Kathu District, Phuket. The man, who had reportedly consumed beer and undergone a 45-minute oil massage, began snoring loudly before falling unconscious at the massage parlor.

The police and emergency services were called, but the tourist was pronounced dead at the scene. Doctors later confirmed the time of death occurred at the massage parlor.

The deceased's wife, who was present during the incident, stated she was not suspicious about the death. She attributed it to her husband's lack of fitness, frequent alcohol consumption, and insufficient rest. As such, she declined an autopsy and requested that the body be repatriated to Singapore for religious rites.

The massage parlor, which the tourist visited regularly, expressed condolences but stated they were unaware of any pre-existing health issues.
