On May 17 at approximately 11:34 p.m., Ms. A (alias), a 23-year-old woman from Wichit Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District, reported to Police Captain Wichit Nokkaew, an investigator at Phuket City Police Station. She stated that she had registered to compete in a beauty pageant titled "Miss Diamond Thai Silk 2025" through a Facebook page, paying a registration fee of 1,000 baht.

There were three pageant organizers: 1. Aom, 2. Joy, and 3. Tan. The competition, offering cash prizes to winners, was scheduled for May 17, 2025, in Koh Kaew Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District. Ms. A and other contestants attended the event as planned.

After the pageant, Ms. A was awarded 5th place and received a 5,000 baht prize, along with an additional 5,000 baht for the "People’s Choice Award." However, after she left the stage, the organizers disappeared without distributing the prizes. Each contestant had paid the 1,000 baht entry fee. The event also featured VIP ticket sales ranging from 35,000 to 100,000 baht. The top prizes were advertised as follows: Winner – 20,000 baht, 1st runner-up – 15,000 baht, 2nd runner-up – 10,000 baht, and 3rd runner-up – 5,000 baht, along with sashes.

Ms. A has not received her winnings and cannot contact any of the three organizers, who have since blocked her phone number and Facebook page. She filed a police report to initiate further investigation and legal proceedings.
