On May 29, Mr. Thanakrit Jit-areerat, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Public Health, informed the press that the Special Prime Ministerial Council had responded to the Medical Council regarding its disciplinary ruling on May 28 at 4:00 PM. This followed a submission by the review committee formed under Section 25 of the Medical Profession Act B.E. 2525, which had presented its opinion to Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health and ex officio Chair of the Special Council.

Thanakrit stated that Somsak had already returned his feedback to the Medical Council concerning the complaints against four doctors. One complaint was dismissed, while the other three doctors were either reprimanded or had their medical licenses temporarily suspended. Somsak’s response addressed each case individually, partially agreeing with the Medical Council’s ruling, while also suggesting areas for further review—particularly regarding procedural aspects.

Thanakrit emphasized that Somsak’s letter did not constitute an order for reconsideration but was meant to provide constructive input. The final decision rests with the Medical Council board.
