On May 19, 2025, at 1:15 PM at Government House, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, in his capacity as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, gave an interview regarding the Election Commission (EC) issuing additional summons for defendants in the Senate vote-buying case.

The new summons include Mr. Naphintr Srisarpang, Deputy Minister of Commerce from the Bhumjaithai Party, and Mr. Supchai Pho-su, former minister and MP from the party.

Anutin's Response: "I don't know yet. They will have to go and give explanations," stated Deputy PM Anutin when asked about the additional summons issued by the Election Commission.

Other Summoned Individual: Ms. Warin Chinwong, President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Administrative Organization, who is among those called for questioning, confirmed she had heard the news but had not yet received the official summons. She stated she would need to review the details of the document before determining when to report, but emphasized her willingness to cooperate.

"I'm happy to go, and I'm not worried at this time. I believe I can provide clear explanations," Ms. Warin said, expressing confidence in her ability to address the allegations.

The case involves allegations of vote-buying related to Senate elections, with the Election Commission continuing its investigation by summoning additional individuals for questioning and clarification.
