On December 12, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced the government’s three-month progress under the theme "2025 Empowering Thais: A Real Possibility" at the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT). The PM emphasized the government’s commitment to long-term policies benefiting the public, regardless of future administrations.

A key highlight was the launch of the “Homes for Thais” initiative, which aims to provide affordable housing on unused state-owned land near urban centers and public transit. Starting in 2025, the program will offer 30-square-meter furnished condominiums with a no-down-payment rental model. Monthly payments will start at 4,000 THB, with a maximum lease of 99 years. Target groups include first-time home seekers and recent graduates with incomes below 20,000 THB.

The project will begin with 1,000 units across four locations: Bang Na, Thonburi, Chiang Rak, and Chiang Mai. Sample homes will debut on January 20, 2025, at Bangkok's central station. Plans include 100,000 units by 2026, with construction timelines of one year for single houses and two years for condominiums.
