At 8:25 PM on November 24, 2024, at the Ravadee Hotel in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Varin Chinwong, also known as Nam, a former provincial Chamber of Commerce chair and current Bhumjaithai Party member, declared victory in the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) election. Representing the "Strong Nakhon" group, she ran as Candidate No. 2 and secured the top position with over 300,000 votes, defeating former PAO chairwoman Kanokporn Dejdecho.
In her victory speech, Varin expressed gratitude to the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat and nationwide supporters, emphasizing that the votes reflected the genuine will of the people. Despite severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and flooding that disrupted travel and required some polling stations to relocate, voter turnout exceeded 600,000. Varin acknowledged the challenges faced by voters and praised their dedication in participating under such difficult circumstances.
