At 2:00 PM on May 26, 2025, at the Parliament House, Ms. Kusumalawadee Sirikomut, a former senatorial candidate, quietly submitted a letter to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, filing an ethics complaint against Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The submission was made discreetly without notifying the media.
Ms. Kusumalawadee explained her actions by saying, “The cat doesn’t want fame today,” implying her low-profile approach was deliberate. She claimed her move was to protect national interests and defend her dignity, stating that Mr. Anutin, in his capacity as a Member of Parliament and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, had acted unethically.
"You can’t just do whatever you please. You must understand principles and act like a gentleman," she said, noting that a criminal lawsuit was already in motion and now she is pursuing an ethics route. She also intends to escalate the complaint to the Ombudsman and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
When asked if she would push forward without backing down, she responded firmly, “Absolutely. No one can stop me. Some people told me not to do it because he’s part of the ruling coalition—but wrongdoing is wrongdoing regardless of which government you're in.”
“You insulted me. You hurt me. There must be consequences. You can’t just get away with anything,” she concluded.
