On December 9, 2024, the legal team from the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights Center filed bail requests for 14 political prisoners, including prominent activist Anon Nampa and others facing charges, many under Thailand’s controversial lese majeste law (#112). Anon and another activist, Daeng Chinjang, had five cases each, while the remaining 12 individuals had one case each.

The Khon Kaen Provincial Court rejected the Supreme Court appeal for bail for Tiwakorn Wititon on December 11, citing insufficient grounds to alter the original ruling. On December 12, the Appeals Court denied bail for four individuals, including Anon Nampa (related to the "Harry Potter 2" protest case), Mani Ngerntra, Khunpan Chenkiwabuncha, and Kanun Sirapop, stating there were no new circumstances warranting a change in the previous decision.

The legal team continues to pursue bail for other detainees, including those facing cases for political activism, as the courts have yet to issue decisions for the remaining prisoners.
