At 3:00 PM on December 11, at the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) headquarters, Mr. Paiboon Nititawan, Secretary-General of PPRP, announced that General Prawit Wongsuwan, the party leader, authorized him and legal representatives to file a lawsuit against former MP Sira Jenjaka. The civil lawsuit, filed at the Civil Court, accuses Mr. Sira of defamation and spreading false information, seeking damages of THB 50 million. The court accepted the case under file number P.5459 and scheduled the hearing for March 3, 2025. Additionally, Mr. Paiboon stated that Mr. Sira’s actions might constitute up to 10 criminal offenses, which the party plans to address in future legal proceedings.

The lawsuit stems from Mr. Sira’s claim that General Prawit made a phone call requesting assistance for former PPRP member Samart Jenchaijitwanich in connection with a legal case involving The Icon Group Co., Ltd. Mr. Sira, allegedly present during the incident, made the claim publicly, which the party asserts is false and defamatory. The PPRP has vowed to pursue both civil and criminal charges to their fullest extent.
