On December 6, Loei Province experienced cool and foggy weather across all 14 districts, particularly in national parks and mountain peaks. Morning and nighttime temperatures remained chilly, with Phu Kradueng National Park recording 13.5°C, Phu Ruea National Park 14.0°C, and Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary 11.0°C. The weather attracted large numbers of visitors, especially young travelers, with over 3,500 tourists flocking to Phu Kradueng to enjoy the scenic cold weather.

Adisorn Hemthanon, head of Phu Kradueng National Park, stated that the holiday period, including Father’s Day and the extended weekend, brought a surge in visitors. On December 5 alone, over 2,000 tourists arrived, resulting in a shortage of porters. By December 6, more than 1,000 visitors had registered and secured accommodations, reaching the park’s daily capacity of 3,500 guests. Additional staff were deployed to manage the influx and ensure safety.

Phu Kradueng’s natural beauty, rejuvenated after the seasonal closure, now features blooming wildflowers and pristine landscapes, further enhanced by the cold weather. The park management has also prepared sufficient blankets and emphasized environmental conservation. Tourists are encouraged to join eco-friendly initiatives, such as the Volunteer Rangers program and the packaging deposit scheme, and are prohibited from bringing foam containers and alcoholic beverages to preserve the park’s cleanliness and beauty.
