During a visit to Koh Kood on November 11, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed recent controversy surrounding an August 14 meeting involving six coalition leaders at the residence of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The gathering came after Thailand's Constitutional Court ruled to dismiss Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin. Allegations arose claiming Thaksin's influence over coalition politics, but Thaksin denied involvement, humorously explaining the gathering as a casual meeting where they shared simple meals like "Mama" instant noodles.
Anutin added that he occasionally visits Thaksin for informal talks, sometimes sharing snacks, but clarified that he left early on August 14 due to another appointment and didn’t eat. He emphasized that the purpose of the August meeting was to discuss and monitor current political developments among party leaders.
