On November 11, Pheu Thai Party (PTP) MP Linthiporn Varinwatchararoj clarified former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s involvement in supporting Sarawut Phetpanomporn’s campaign for Udon Thani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) chief. Linthiporn emphasized that Thaksin, as a legal campaign assistant and citizen free of legal penalties, retains his basic political rights to endorse candidates.
She noted that other former political figures, such as Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit of the dissolved Future Forward Party and Pita Limjaroenrat of the Move Forward Party, continue to influence their respective movements despite being barred from official political roles. Linthiporn argued that selective criticism and political bias against Thaksin's role fuel societal division, while questioning the benefit of such criticisms to the public.
