On May 29, the board of the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS) completed its final selection process for the organization’s new Director-General. The three finalists were Wanchai Tantivitayapitak, Rattasart Korsut, and Attaporn Limphanyalert. Associate Professor Patamavadee Pochanukul, who had previously advanced to the final round, withdrew from the selection for personal reasons.

Following a comprehensive evaluation and interview process, the board unanimously selected Wanchai Tantivitayapitak as the next Director-General. Contract discussions and appointment formalities will follow.

The final round included a morning session where candidates presented their vision, team readiness, and operational plans. In the afternoon, the candidates participated in simulated scenarios reflecting key leadership challenges in three areas: public media management, resource and technology administration, and governance and risk oversight. The afternoon session was observed closely by Thai PBS staff, underscoring the transparency of the selection process and the staff’s expectations for effective leadership.
