On December 29, 2024, Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party and a Member of Parliament, expressed gratitude following the fourth NIDA poll of the year, which placed his party and leadership as the most popular, ahead of the Pheu Thai Party and Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. Nattapong emphasized humility in the face of success, stating, “Polls rise and fall; when they rise, we must not be complacent, and when they fall, we must not lose heart.”

He reflected on earlier periods when his party ranked lower in polls, noting that it did not distract them from addressing key issues. Among their recent accomplishments is the temporary halt of purchasing 3,600 MW of renewable energy, a measure aimed at tackling high electricity costs, which may have contributed to the party’s increased popularity.

Looking forward, Nattapong pledged to intensify efforts with the introduction of the People’s Resolutions 2025, comprising nine key commitments designed to drive significant change for Thailand through parliamentary mechanisms. He urged the public to continue supporting the People's Party, reaffirming their dedication to serving the nation’s best interests.
