On December 14, heavy rainfall caused by the northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and southern provinces continued for a second consecutive day, leading to flash floods in Ranong Province. Accumulated rainfall over 48 hours reached 200 millimeters in Kra Buri District, triggering floods that affected six subdistricts and 28 villages.

The hardest-hit areas include Lamliang (6 villages), Nam Chuet (3 villages), Nam Chuet Noi (2 villages), Pakchan (6 villages), C.P.R. (6 villages), and Mamu (5 villages). Torrential runoff from the Chumphon-Ranong mountain range caused rivers and canals to overflow, submerging homes and impacting residents.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and preparing response measures as the floodwaters continue to disrupt daily life in the region. Relief efforts are underway to assist those affected.
