AirAsia MOVE, the online travel platform, has taken proactive measures to address refunds for customers in Thailand who experienced failed bookings via Direct Debit. Affected customers will receive an email from [email protected] by Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The email will contain instructions for submitting bank account details, ensuring a smooth refund process. Once accurate banking information is provided, refunds will be completed within seven business days.

Nadia Omer, CEO of AirAsia MOVE, apologized for the inconvenience and announced the temporary suspension of the Direct Debit payment option since November 26 to prevent further delays in refunds. She emphasized the company's commitment to continuously improving its systems and resolving this issue as quickly as possible.

The AirAsia MOVE platform remains fully operational, offering a variety of payment methods for transactions. Customers booking AirAsia flights are advised to select the "AirAsia flights only" option to ensure seamless booking and immediate confirmation when seats are available.
