On May 17, 2025, a local reporter received a report from the village head of Moo 2, Jakwa Subdistrict, Raman District, Yala Province at 7:30 p.m. that a shooting had occurred. Two villagers, a husband and wife, were shot dead in front of their home at House No. 94, Moo 2, Jakwa Subdistrict. The victims were identified as Mr. Buraheh Silaru, 48 years old (husband), and Ms. Sitimeleya Abdulpale, 46 years old (wife).
The perpetrators, whose number and identities remain unknown, ambushed and opened fire on the couple in front of their residence, causing their immediate death at the scene. Police coordinated with the Ikwah Raman emergency unit to transport the bodies to Raman Hospital. The motive and identities of the assailants are under investigation, with further updates to follow.
