Bangkok, November 25, 2024 – Deputy Governor Wisanu Subsompon announced progress on the road connection project linking the Chaeng Watthana Government Complex (commemorating the 80th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King on December 5, 2007) to Prachachuen Road (Route 10). The new route is set to open for public use on December 11, 2024.

The new road, a 1,260-meter-long reinforced concrete structure with two lanes, provides a shortcut for visitors to the government complex and Chulabhorn Hospital. It starts within the government complex, crosses a bridge over the Khlong Prapa Canal, and exits onto Prachachuen Road, bypassing the often-congested Chaeng Watthana Road. Currently, workers are finalizing the installation of traffic signals and making final adjustments to the road and sidewalks.

The project aims to enhance traffic flow by creating an alternative western access point to the government complex and facilitating the expanded development of the complex and Chulabhorn Hospital.
