On June 19, Mr. Chaitawat Tulathon, former leader of the Move Forward Party, posted on Facebook regarding the leaked audio clip of a conversation between Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Samdech Hun Sen, President of Cambodia’s Senate.

He noted that amid the growing public discontent with the Prime Minister, it's important to recognize that the frustration does not stem solely from the Shinawatra family. Rather, he argued, it is a consequence of politics shaped by military coups and segments of the elite class that seek to hold power above the will of the people.

Chaitawat emphasized that future political changes must not revert to undemocratic methods. He blamed two decades of elite-dominated politics for the nation’s current struggles, asserting that such systems have led to the kind of government and leadership Thailand has today.

He concluded that only by rejecting elite-driven politics and building a political system for the majority can the country move forward.
