On June 17, Minister of Culture Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol announced that the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Ketsara Kamnerdpetch, currently Deputy Director of the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC), as the new Director of OCAC, effective upon royal endorsement.

Ms. Ketsara brings extensive knowledge, experience, and suitability to the role, having served as Deputy Director for four years. She has a strong understanding of contemporary art and has effectively collaborated with various artist networks. Notably, she has played a key role in organizing the Thailand Biennale international contemporary art exhibitions held in Krabi, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Chiang Rai, and is currently preparing the upcoming event in Phuket.

Minister Sudawan expressed confidence that Ms. Ketsara will successfully lead OCAC in fulfilling its mission, enhancing the role of contemporary art in economic development and soft power promotion in line with the government's and Ministry of Culture’s policies.
