At 9:30 a.m. on June 16, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra convened a high-level meeting at Ban Phitsanulok to review the outcomes of the 6th Thai-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) meeting and determine the next steps. Attendees included Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Digital Economy Minister Prasert Jantararuangthong, Foreign Minister Maris Sangiamphong, Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Natthaphon Nakphanich, Armed Forces commanders, Gen. Songwit Noonpakdee (Chief of Defense Forces), and National Security Council Secretary-General Chatchai Bangchuat.

At 2:00 p.m., the National Security Council (NSC) held a separate meeting with relevant agencies following an announcement by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet to cease importing telecommunications signals and electricity from Thailand. The meeting aimed to assess the situation and develop a response strategy.
