On June 15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted a statement on its official Facebook page to clarify public misunderstandings regarding the 6th Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) meeting between Thailand and Cambodia, held from June 14–15, 2025 in Phnom Penh.
The Ministry affirmed that the meeting did not involve any discussion about Cambodia submitting four specific areas for consideration by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Furthermore, there was no discussion about the 1:200,000-scale map produced by the former Siam–Indochina demarcation commission, contrary to claims from the Cambodian side.
