Following investigations into clinics ordering sleeping medication that led to the arrest of Dr. Anchulee Theerawongpaisan (known as "Dr. Air"), the Royal Thai Police have confirmed her dismissal from government service. Dr. Air held the position of Medical Officer (SB5) in the Family Medicine unit at the Police Hospital.

The case began when police and FDA officials inspected clinics involved in sleeping medication procurement, which subsequently connected to Dr. Air's activities. During the investigation, authorities arrested a man who claimed to be managing accommodation within police flats and seized over 10 boxes of sleeping medications as evidence.

The preliminary investigation revealed approximately 80 million baht in circulating funds directly connected to the case, with an additional 400 million baht in financial transactions involving related individuals, bringing the total money trail to nearly 500 million baht.

Dr. Air had previously faced a serious disciplinary committee investigation due to behavior allegedly linked to grey zone activities. The Royal Thai Police have now issued an official order for her dismissal from government service.

The case highlights concerns about pharmaceutical distribution networks and potential corruption within medical institutions, with the substantial financial flows suggesting an extensive operation beyond simple medication procurement.
