On June 6, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand posted a message on Facebook addressing growing public interest among Thais regarding China’s stance on the ongoing Thai-Cambodian border situation.
A spokesperson from the embassy stated that China firmly adheres to the principle of resolving disputes through dialogue and consultation, aiming to preserve peace and stability in the region. As both Thailand and Cambodia are neighboring friendly countries to China, Beijing hopes both sides will exercise restraint, enhance communication, and seek diplomatic solutions to de-escalate tensions promptly.
China also expressed its willingness to coordinate with both Thailand and Cambodia and will make every effort to maintain regional peace and stability.
