On May 27, in response to the Social Security Office’s decision to proceed with producing promotional calendars to inform members about their benefits—despite surveys showing the public doesn’t want them—MP Sahasawat Khumkong from the People’s Party posted on Facebook criticizing the move.

He pointed out that the cost per person for dental treatment under the NHSO is approximately 749.85 baht, roughly 750 baht. He argued that instead of spending 50 million baht on calendars, that same budget could fund dental care for approximately 66,666 people annually using NHSO costs, or 55,555 people if calculated at the Social Security dental benefit rate of 900 baht per person.

He concluded that canceling the calendar budget would benefit the public more directly, criticizing the current spending priorities and warning that such mismanagement could lead to the collapse of the social security system.
