On May 23, 2025, the Nonthaburi Provincial Court delivered its verdict in the high-profile case regarding the death of actress Tangmo Nida Patcharaveerapong, who drowned after falling from a speedboat in 2022.
Among the six defendants, four appeared in court: Kritsarin “Kratic” Juthasuksawat, Wisapat “Sand” Manomairat, Nithat “Job” Keeratisutthasathorn, and Theerathirasee “Pheem”. They were charged with recklessness causing death.
Previously, Robert Paiboon and Poh Tanupat had pleaded guilty, receiving suspended prison sentences:
- Poh: 5 years 8 months (reduced to 2 years 9 months), fine of 64,000 baht, suspended for 3 years with community service.
- Robert: 4 years 4 months (reduced to 2 years 2 months), fine of 54,000 baht, also suspended with community service.
At 9:30 AM, the court ruled:
- Sand, Kratic, and Pheem were acquitted.
- Job was fined 16,000 baht and sentenced to 4 months in prison for false reporting, and an additional 2 months with an 8,000 baht fine for littering in a river. His sentence was suspended for 1 year.
If the plaintiff wishes to appeal an acquittal, they must do so within a month. If the plaintiff prevails, the burden to appeal falls to the defendants.
