Following a tragic landslide accident on May 19 that buried Sarawut Chantasorn, a 33-year-old construction worker from Sisaket Province, during the construction of the Orange Line railway project (Bang Khun Non – Thailand Cultural Centre section) near Soi Lan Luang 8 in Bangkok, rescue teams have worked non-stop around the clock to locate him.

On May 23, Anyawut Phoampai (aka "Nakorn 45"), a rescue leader from Ruamkatanyu Foundation, reported that despite numerous obstacles and risks at the site, the team finally found Sarawut's body at a depth of 19 meters in the 23-meter-deep pile shaft.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt emphasized that “safety must be the top priority” throughout the ongoing operations, given the high-risk conditions at the site. Authorities are currently coordinating to safely retrieve the body.
