Phatthalung Governor Rattasart Chidchu presided over a press conference announcing the “Phatthalung Sport Fest,” a festival under the concept “Creative Tourism Through Sports.” Held at the Dome Room, Lampam Resort, on May 16, the event aims to deliver a memorable experience that blends sports, music, film, and local culture. The festival is scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at Saensuk Lampam Beach, with the goal of stimulating Phatthalung’s tourism and economy.
The governor highlighted Phatthalung’s status as a designated “Sport City,” reflecting the province’s vision to use sports as a key driver for economic and tourism development, particularly in the growing sector of sport tourism.
The upcoming “Phatthalung Sport Fest” presents a new approach to tourism, combining triathlon, duathlon (sprint distance), fun runs, and performances by popular artists including Atom Chanakan, Suea Song Lay, and Fiat Queen on Street. The festival will also feature seaside 3D film screenings, local food, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant market atmosphere—created through strong collaboration between public and private sectors.
Local officials, including the municipal clerk, reaffirmed the readiness of Saensuk Lampam Beach to host the event with full safety, traffic management, and guest services in place. Business leaders added that the festival aligns with modern consumer trends emphasizing health and happiness, while also opening opportunities for new health, lifestyle, and tourism ventures.
Attendees can expect a well-rounded experience of sports, entertainment, and local delicacies. More details are available via Facebook: Phatthalung Sport Fest or Thailand Sport Series, and LINE: @ThailandSportSeries.
