The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the deaths of two Thai nationals, Ms. Sirithorn Cha-ue and Ms. Jongluk Duangmanee, who were aboard Jeju Air flight 7C2216. The flight, which departed from Thailand for Muan International Airport in South Korea, carried 175 passengers and six crew members, including the two Thai citizens.

The Thai Embassy in Seoul received confirmation from South Korean authorities regarding the fatalities. The Ministry has informed the victims' families and is coordinating with South Korean authorities and Jeju Air to assist with travel arrangements for the relatives to South Korea. The Ministry will also facilitate necessary documentation and other logistical matters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and urged Thai travelers to prioritize safety during their journeys this holiday season.
